November 2008 Trail Tails Straight from the Horse's
Mouth
The
nip in the air is the sign of things to come. With cooler weather, riding becomes more enjoyable, some of our favorite
spots are beginning to dry out. Hurray!! Popash Preserve is not quite dry, but it has become popular. I
see trailers on a regular basis. Cecil Webb is dry in places, but hunting has just started so be careful if you
venture that way. Wear your orange vest. Exit 31 has some puddles, and I wouldn't suggest riding on Saturday-the
motor cross bikes like to use that area. Otherwise it is a great place to ride- I spotted a hog on a recent recognizance
trip. Myakkahatchee
Creek Environmental Park
in North Port
is also a fun place to ride. This shady place makes for a good 2-hour ride in which you can cross bridges and small gullies.

Instead of a club meeting we will be having our annual Christmas Party on December 6th at the church
across from Lawhons. RSVP on the Count Me In page. Details on the Hittin' the Trail page. Please RSVP by December 2nd so we
know how much meat to buy.

Next
month is our annual Christmas Party. More details will be posted, but be sure it will be a fun night of tasty food, interesting
presents, and good friends. You definitely don’t want to miss it.
Our
speaker this month is Teresa Ballinger, equine massage therapist. She will share techniques with us on how to ease those sore
muscles of our horses.
We hope to see everyone
at the meeting. We want Teresa to have a full crowd!
Stay Safe
& Happy Trails to All!
